Trick or Treating, Cyber Villains, and Coffee: My Time on Counsel Brew

I recently had the pleasure of joining Shereen El Domeiri and Nicola Hobeiche on their fantastic podcast, Counsel Brew, for Episode 36: “Trick or Treat – Shawn Tuma.” Let me tell you—it was an absolute blast!

From the moment we hit record, it felt like catching up with old friends over a strong French roast. We dove into the wild world of cybersecurity, shared a few war stories (some of which you truly can’t make up), and even managed to squeeze in a conversation about Mabel the grandpig 🐷.

We talked about:

  • Why breach response is part adrenaline rush, part group therapy ☕
  • How a conference article turned into my book, The GC–CISO Connection 📖
  • Why your CISO and legal team should be best friends 🛡
  • And yes, my 28+ years of trick-or-treating expertise 🎃

Shereen and Nicola are brilliant, witty, and know how to make a guest feel right at home. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my journey and insights with their audience—and I had a ton of fun doing it.
