Increased Ransomware Threat in Wake of Russia Invasion of Ukraine — Shawn Tuma Discusses

A senior FBI official has asked businesses and local governments to watch out for ransomware attacks now that sanctions have been imposed on Russia.  The official says Russia is a “permissive operating environment” for cybercriminals — one that “is not going to get any smaller.” U.S. officials do say there’s no specific, credible threats but they are emphasizing vigilance.
